Tax Analyst
Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities - External compliance – corporate tax returns:

  • Liaise with Finance & BP Business for financial data in timely manner
  • Understand nature of data required to complete tax returns
  • Analyse financial data received to ensure data meet tax requirements and where necessary raise further queries
  • Use standardised in-house working papers & tax software for preparation of tax returns
  • Prepare 1st cut of corporate tax returns for review and clear queries raised, if any
  • Track and document queries
  • Update tax packs to align with business and tax law changes
  • Providing interface between in-country Tax and Finance
  • Maintain updated process scripts and tax manuals
  • Identify process improvements and efficiencies
External compliance – tax queries/ audits
Under supervision:-
- obtain data required to respond to Tax Authorities; and
- provide clear explanations to queries raised by Tax Authorities, including preparation of replies to routine requests for explanations or for additional information

Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): Strong command in English both written and oral.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in tax compliance and/or tax accounting role.
  • Preferably Junior to Mid Level Executives specializing in Finance - Audit/Taxation or equivalent.
  • Full-Time position(s) available.
