Garden International School (GIS) is the largest private, co-educational, international school in Malaysia and is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS). Established in 1951, GIS provides a British-style education to the expatriate and local community in Kuala Lumpur. The school has two campuses in Kuala Lumpur and one on the East Coast of Malaysia in Kuantan. In total, the school has students representing over fifty nationalities. Teaching staff are mainly recruited from the United Kingdom, Australia and from Malaysia itself.

HUMAN RESOURCE EXECUTIVE
Kuala Lumpur - Mont Kiara

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible to assist the Senior Executive for operational administrative support in the day-to-day of Human Resources.

  • To administer the application of work permits for expatriate staff and teaching permits for oversea recruited expatriate staff.
  • To maintain and update HR records.
  • To handle expatriate staff’s insurance claims and queries.
  • Assist on expatriate new recruitment contract preparation; flight arrangement; registration of Income Tax; Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) registration and others.
  • To assist on expatriate leavers on flight arrangement; Tax Clearance; leaving country Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) withdrawal and others.
  • Ensure on-time yearly tax assessment of all expatriate employees are completed and submitted to Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
  • Other HR functions as and when assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Human Resource Management / Management / Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Experience in handling expatriate work permit.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff, a proficient command of English Language and Bahasa Malaysia is crucial.
  • Ability to work in team and with various background and nationality.
  • Positive work attitude, able to rapidly learn new tasks; and to work independently in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possess own transport, and willing to travel.
  • Able to start immediately.

Follow Up, Always follow-up with a thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. If you interview with multiple people send each one a thank you note.
