Roc Oil Malaysia (Holdings) Sdn. Bhd. (a subsidiary of Roc Oil Company Limited; one of Australia’s leading independent upstream oil and gas companies) is looking for suitably qualified personnel to fill the following positions.



Petroleum Engineer
Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general petroleum engineering support to any of Roc’s assets, as required. Typically work is subsurface or production engineering based, with occasional work in facilities and drilling/completions engineering. Examples include but are not limited to:
  • Reservoir engineering data preparation including SCAL, RCA, PVT and RFT pressure studies.
  • Site witnessing for petroleum engineering based data acquisition during drilling and workover campaigns.
  • Application of nodal analysis, production network optimization, production allocation, decline curve analysis, etc.
  • Simple reservoir simulation studies involving modifications/sensitivities on pre-existing models.
  • Special projects in facilities or drilling/completions engineering, for example as corrosion root cause finding or well completion diagnostic troubleshooting.
  • General stewardship of petroleum engineering document control, becoming a preferred source for subsurface data.
  • High level literature research projects of interest.

Provide general technical support to Corporate HSE Manager and/or Senior Engineering Advisor regarding carbon emissions reporting (specifically, NGER’s or National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting).


Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Full-Time position available.
