Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi), initially established in the name of the Secretariat of the Council with a view to smoothen the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (religious council). It was established on February 1, 1974. When the Ministry of Federal Territories (KWP) was formed in 1978, the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) was placed under the Ministry.


However, in 1987 the Ministry was abolished. Thus, the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) was placed under the administration of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) to date.

Since its inception, the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) never looked back but continued to grow to this day the existence of two branches of Labuan Branch was established on 16 April 1984, while Putrajaya Branch was established on August 1, 2001.
JAWI is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies:

Follow Up, Always follow-up with a thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. If you interview with multiple people send each one a thank you note.
